Well it's the end of week one and I can feel the exercise effects now -- I'm stiff -- mostly my legs. That hour and a half walk around the lake in fresh snow was a workout for sure.
I have been doing a little bit of everything this week. My goal was to watch my fuel intake and get the exercise hours in -- my routine will develop as I go.
I like to be as flexible as possible with exercise because I want to enjoy it. I want to achieve my goals but I still want to have a life. A lot of my work life is regimented, predictable, and hectic. So I choose to look at exercise as an escape -- I get to ditch details and deadlines for activity and spontaneity -- ironically I'm stiffened at work from tension and stress and then stiffened at home from working out. What?
Well the benefits are well worth it -- you feel strong, alive, and invigorated. Week two promises to level things out on the stiffness meter and it's time to flip through my favorite mags -- Oxygen and Men's Fitness and get totally psyched.
What is your pick when it comes to motivational fitness mags? What get you cranked up?
My week one goal to fast track weight loss:
