GREAT SAYINGS ARE NOTEWORTHY AND OFTEN BOOK WORTHY

"I was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck:  I've been pissed off ever since."  Richard Pimentel (The book - Music Within)

Great sayings are noteworthy and often book worthy.  If when heard, a great saying steals your attention -- you will be left wanting more.  If when written, a great saying jumps off the page and smacks you upside the head, you will be filled with a sense of anticipation forced to read more hoping to interpret and fully comprehend the full meaning as it was intended.

A few words carefully positioned can make us ponder, question, and experience a gamut of emotions.  They can stimulate and motivate us beyond what we ever thought possible.

I think my favorite sayings are those that make me think "WHAT?" like the one above -- the ones  that can be interpretted in different ways and therefore allow me to interpret them in my own way!

What is your favorite saying?

  2. "The Work" by Byron Katie:

When you tell someone something, they put their own interpretation on what you said. That's what they hear. No one has ever heard you.

Doesn't that make you think "hmmm?"
