Where is your bucket list?
Do you in fact have a list -- a physical piece of paper with your dreams and quests detailed and prioritized?
Have you been strategically crossing targets off you list over the years?
When I have a bucket list quest to tackle I write it out -- look at it every which way and keep it in my face.
Example: If I wanted to learn to become a better guitarist, I would park it in front of the TV. Then I would pick it up every time I passed by. I would play a scale or riff or blues chord progression. Before you know it... you are getting better!!!
I would also write my own music -- ya really! And sing! Why not?
I wrote my first song on accordion when I was eight. I still remember bits of it. The tune was way too similar to a song on the radio at the time and the lyrics were about vampires -- hey I was eight!!! -- but I did it -- I figured it out and was able to play the song from start to finish.
I guess I'm an in my face kinda girl. I'm visual and like to see progress. I even start everyday with lists of things to do, crossing off completed items throughout the day. At the end of the day I rewrite my lists for the next day. It's very effective.
So, curious as I am, I ask you -- where is your bucket list?
I have a long bucket list and I'm not waiting for a partner, a different time in my life etc. to make those happen that I can take care of now! I'm taking my teenager on a hot air balloon ride this summer and I can't wait!!! I love the Tim McGraw song "Live Like You Were Dying"
