When caught in a situation in which you feel stuck—perhaps you feel uninspired, hopeless, or powerless—no matter how overwhelmed you may feel, you can take steps to break out despite your adversities. You can build toward changing the game so that challenges feel more like possibilities. And the idea of possibilities suggests hope, allowing you to focus on the bright aspects of life, take action, and live your life to the fullest.
Take another glance at the first sentence in this section: “When caught in a situation…” Do we actually get jammed, wedged, or trapped in a situation where we become immovable? Not always. Sometimes we passively let things happen to us, and more often we walk right into situations. Since we walked in, we usually have the choice to walk back out.
