I find that aside from times when we experience luminous blips of brilliance, we often find ourselves falling into one of the following very distinct and opposing stages of awareness.
The Generally Unaware: We have become complacent in life, and are floating along until one day we wake up in panic fearing the world is passing us by—we feel others are moving forward in life while we are standing still. At this point, we may realize that we want more… and are willing to work for it, but we don’t know where to begin—we need to raise our level of awareness in order to be prepared to step up and take action.
Or
The Suddenly Aware: We have done something incredible, made something amazing happen, and when it was all over and done with, we realized that we did something we never thought we would do—perhaps even something we felt was reserved for others, never us. At this point, suddenly aware, we need to reassess, use our new awareness, continue to take action, and keep the momentum going.
I am testing a theory here -- what do you think? Where do you fit in on the awareness roller coaster?
